LATEST: Arsene Wenger not giving up on £75million rated ex-Premier League star
Arsenal were unable to secure the signature of Uruguayan forward Luiz Suarez in the summer of 2013 as the Reds were not willing to sell him out to a rivalry club. Arsenal made a bid of £42 000 001 for Suarez only for it to be declined by the club's management. Arsenal's failure to sign him was what gave Barcelona the chance to secure the signature of the forward for a deal believed to worth around £75million. Arsenal had no choice then than to look for another player and this led to the signing of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid.

Unfortunately for Luiz Suarez, he has been unsettled at Barcelona since his arrival at the club. He has only been able to score twice for the Catalans in 11 appearances after returning from a ban he got for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup.

There was an internal crisis at Barcelona which led to the sack of the club's director and Arsene Wenger believes this is the right time for him to make a move for the ex-Liverpool striker.

On the other hand, Arsenal could be dealt a great blow in the summer as Barcelona are currently unable to make player signings following a ban from FIFA. Would a club who can't sign players want to sell out any of it's top players? This is another question that needs to be asked.

Many will see this as something which is impossible but try to remember what a lot of people thought when Mesut Oziil was linked with Arsenal in 2013, nobody ever believed that Arsenal will ever sign a player for £42.5million. Nevertheless, anything can happen in the world of football these days and therefore let's just keep our fingers crossed and see what is going to happen in the summer of 2015.
